(Okay, yeah. Before we start I’ll apologise for the lateness of the article, it was due a potent mixture of football, alcohol and the world’s worst hangover.)

For X23 fans

The solo film title for the (probably not) final appearance of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has been all but confirmed this week. I’m not even going to bother with a spoiler warning. It’s Wolverine: Weapon X. The name pretty much confirms the appearance of fan favourite X23, the female clone of Logan. If Fox can pull this passing of the torch off, they could have the next big superhero on their hands.

For Lonely Dogs

For all the flack that Michael Bay and his unstoppable Transformers juggernaut receives, one heart-warming news story was hard not to include in this week’s News Reel. Bay has confirmed that Britain’s “loneliest dog” will have a cameo in Transformers: The Last Knight. The dog, which has the unwanted moniker due to its lengthy stay at a Liverpool re-homing centre, has more good news coming it’s way as Bay has vowed to take the dog in himself if a new home cannot be found.

For Mel Gibson

Hey guys, remember Mel Gibson? It’s felt like a long time since we last saw his face. I’m sorry if you preferred it that way because you are about to see a lot more of him. Which Mel Gibson says is great news for Mel Gibson. Passion of the Christ 2 is happening. Oh boy, this is going to be fun.

For CRUCIFY THIS!

It’s not all good news. It does seem that despite years of hoping, the long awaited Passion sequel will not be Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This! as predicted by Family Guy in 2005.

For Netflix Users

Eddie Murphy is making a Netflix movie… and we’ve all already unwittingly paid for it.
